A very sad story , fire is still a dreadful hazard. I remember the fire in the Square in 1947 . It was a very hot day in June Patterson’s sawmill next to the Rev McMillen’s residence on the corner luckily no one died

I have read about it Brendan.. There were quite a few fires in Moy – another one nearly wiped out Killyman Street. No-one died however. Hope you are keeping well. Are you going to Lila’s talk tomorrow night at O’Neill Historical Society?
Thank you David. I knew about the fire from my dad – the late Billy White of Charlemont Street. Dad was a nephew of Abraham. I didn’t have all this information and am hoping to locate their graves in Moy Church Yard.Margaret
